Yes, I downloaded it to my laptop but it says CLI failed
My troubleshooting workflow for this.
Dojo running and sync?
Cam my Samourai wallet connect to dojo & sign msg?^1
Reset whirlpool cli/config and run initialization.
^1 If your wallet can't connect to dojo you know comm issue to it which would be why WP not working.

You're able to connect to dojo through tor? Also is node configured to use tor service?
Yes. The Dojo is running, synced and through Tor. Just this connecting my phone whirlpool app to the damned laptop version won't let me scan the qr code. I don't see a qr code button on whirlpool gui setup. If I could do that, I'd probably make some progress.

So within WP gui, go to system on the left. There you should find a reset cli config or something along those lines.
This will essentially have you go back through the pairing process.
Just to confirm. You Samourai wallet IS connected to your dojo, correct?? You can check within your wallet by checking the network connection menu in top right.
Yes, Samourai wallet is totally connected to the Dojo. Confirmed. And yes, I have Tor installed and in use on the node.
Shit. My Dojo keeps timing out and I have to re-enter the admin p/w. Annoying. Especially b/c that window is usually behind other windows...
Oh, not the Dojo itself. It was the Dojo maintenance tool. Never mind that part. But WP GUI won't do shit for me. Doesn't tell me anything, whether it's done d/l'ing a new CLI or whatever. And online guides are clearly written for ppl that know all this stuff already. How do they expect a non-tech guy to get this and unravel all these roadblocks. This should be this fucking hard.
Maybe Uninstall gui and stay fresh with pairing your payload from wallet? It is certainly a learning curve. But anything worth doing is typically difficult. Keep at it!! 😁😁🍻

<3 you're so close I feel, and maybe you just identified where the issue is! Let's see.
Uninstall your whirlpool, reinstall, and let's start from scratch.
When you first initialize whirlpool gui after install:
Select: standard standalone gui.
Then it should ask you for a payload (essentially, this is linking your samourai wallet to the whirlpool gui). You get this from your samourai wallet ( top right corner 3 little dots. Settings, transactions, pair to whirlpool gui). Enter that payload in to the whirlpool gui.
Then, you need to make sure you enable tor (its a tiny little slider in the whirlpool pool gui)
Then click initialize. This should Then prompt you for a password (this is your samourai wallet password you setup when creating it).

I'm not technically inclined. Search results show using some kind of command prompt which I don't know shit about sadly. And I can't find anything about running initialization...
This is what I get in Whirlpool GUI on my laptop. Connection failed: Could not connect to CLI (may take a few seconds to start...) I was able to connect my samourai wallet to Dojo no problems.

In the samourai app, did you get the pairing payload??
Yes. However, Whirlpool GUI is a fucking asshole. It doesn't give me the ability to scan the QR code nor does it provide a field in which to paste anything. I still have the issue of no API for for Whirlpool CLI. If I click Show API Key, it tells me, "Unknown or not initialized - Please use Whirlpool GUI to pair your wallet first." I'm running around in circles and getting nowhere.
The problem is, I just deleted and reinstalled WP GUI and left it on 'Stand Alone' and in text it says it's downloading CLI 0.10.16, but there isn't a progress meter and I've let it sit for 30 minutes and nothing happens. I cannot get to the point you are referring to where/when I can enter that payload from my phone...
