Definitely a bit of an arms race case.

I'm saying put keys in places you cannot access without calling ahead where they will greet you ready for a fight. This stops the basic kidnap and beat the keys out of you approach we keep seeing.

True, that may work. But how many ride or dies have access to that kind of network? How many in that network are willing to die for the coin? How many of those people are you willing to put in harms way? Presumably they’re people you care about and don’t want in harms way. I’m just saying I’d like to see the most radical of us form swarms across states, with each swarm contractually obligated to render aid in times of distress.

I doubt violence would even be needed. Just the situation is a massive deterrent. The only way to move the coin means going to unknown turf, guns, dogs, cameras, unknown number of guards, more witnesses.

Kind of an I don't need to outrun the bear, I need to outrun you scenario. Criminals are looking for easy targets.

I'm not saying it can't be done to get that coin. I'm saying that it takes a more skilled and hardened criminal, realistically it takes a team.

All good points. I would highlight booby trapping keys. As the price increases, we will see more of those skilled criminals make moves on more targets in the space. This weighs on my mind because there aren’t many of us (targets)
