That’s awesome. I’m looking for a link to the Nostr nests GitHub. Would you mind linking me?

One of my concerns with Clubhouse was that they were probably logging everything that we said.

I’m curious if there’s any privacy assurances with the way you have Nostr nests set up and/or if there’s a way that I could verify that ?

also as for recording, anyone can record nests. there's no way to stop that. we don't, but always assume that someone listening is recording with software on their phone or computer.

Thank you, Derek.

I will look through this! However, since I’m not a programmer by background, it’s not gonna be super obvious to me and it will take some time to parse.

Do you mind letting me know if our audio is logged and/or saved/recorded anywhere? Or transcribed?

If it’s not, you might want to mention that on the main website as a great value proposition of this versus clubhouse.

Anyway, I’m a big fan. Thank you.

It's not logged or transcribed or anything like that. I don't even log IP addresses. Just your browser information such as browser name, version, and OS. This helps with support and troubleshooting. I gotchu. I've said all of that before, but it's good to mention it again and again. So thank you. As I said in a other comment, anyone can record on their phone or computer. Assume someone is doing it.

Thanks buddy appreciate you taking the time to answer that

🤙

I got some friends who are not even part of Nostr yet but are checking out nests now as a great alternative to Clubhouse.

Next step get them some nostr private keys

Following step orange pill 😂

Nests is the gateway! ⛩️

You're welcome. Get them on nostr and the community here will help get them started. 😉

Oh, I see I just typed that while you were writing your answer. I guess my real question is is about what is happening on your end or how the data is being transmitted. In my case, I may be having a conversation with a trusted friend, so my primary threat vector would be default recording

But I totally get your point that anyone in the nest could be record
