I think I need a job with more small wins. I really enjoyed working tickets - just banging them out one after the other really hit my brain in a way that kept me on task and feeling confident.
Maybe it's about trying to gameify my current work structure. I wish I just knew what my brain wanted
I know it sounds weird but I sometimes use coins lined up on a desk to gamify. When I complete X amount of work, I get to move one coin across the desk. So start with Y quarters on one side of a desk, then by the end of the day the goal is to move them to the other side. The unit of work to move a coin can be adapted to whatever you are working on. Maybe you need the same number of quarters as you had tickets idk but hopefully you can figure out a game. Also sliding a coin across a desk is some weird and gratifying asmr lol
Can relate with that.. now it’s too abstracted and too much of it is pushing pencils and ticking boxes
