Just had an idea about how we could bring our values more into the radio space:

⚡️⚡️⚡️Hierarchical Deterministic Call Signs⚡️⚡️⚡️

⚡️ Would normalize public private key pair communications on RF

⚡️ Think CSPub CSPriv key pairs (CallSignPub & CallSignPriv)

⚡️ Operators could declare their CSPub

⚡️ You could verify who you are communicating with

⚡️ Verifiable collaborative messages

⚡️ Brings an element of increased privacy

⚡️ & more

Note: This would not be allowed under current rules, but if we could spec this out, we could get some big discussions going that are long overdue.

This conversation would also be a first introduction to these concepts to a lot of very smart electrical engineers who are into radio. This conversation could get them started down the rabbit hole into our world.

Thought this was “gtfo”

Would be interesting just to use private/public key with the QSO loggers. ARRL has validation with their LOTW. but that is pretty closed. Would be cool to open this up. Not sure if you need block chain to do it. But would be interesting to have a public ledger that anyone could interact with. and use pub/priv keys for the validation between QSOs. This would be outside of transmitting over RF. If we transmitted keys over RF, we just need to make sure we dont have any issues with "encryption" since in the ham world, that isnt allowed.
