Unpopular opinion

The film industry is used by states to spread propaganda, now you see it very clear with Netflix and its Woke ideology but it has always been like that.

I am a big fan of 80's American cinema but I admit that 80's cinema was already pure propaganda.

On the other hand, nowadays, actors in Hollywood and other countries are simply puppets of the regime and in many cases have serious psychological problems, they are cut off from the real world.

It may be unpopular, but it’s the truth. 100%. Preach brother

Yep.

Another glaring is example is the (still happening) amount of film theme, starting after 911, that deified the US military and demonized anyone with a brown complexion from the Middle East.

Is the issue sourced from the actors/screen writers or studios? Wondering who to route for, if any, in this strike

Based

This is another symptom of Fiat. Movies are incredibly expensive to finance (at least movies that you want to be seen) and very risky to fund. Once you get the players in a system chasing fiat, you have control of their mindset.

IMO, to get an independent film movement like the 70’s-90’s, filmmakers need avenues for funding and distribution outside the current system.

That's an unpopular opinion? It's just facts...
