Also, I'm one of those rare pro-US (as in, I recognize the virtues of the US as a "fresh start" country and a land of opportunity), but I'd like to see a lot more introspection by my American friends in relation to the immense responsibility the US had in the (mis)shaping of post-WW2 Europe and the overbearing, State-centric socialist regime that resulted from it.
As an example: Spain had a 40 year-long fascist military dictatorship that lasted practically until the 80's only because it was in the interest of the US.
