We're already witnessing the issues with social, political, and economic divisions in wealthier countries. I can only hope that that's as far it'll ever go. Cities will, most likely, see a decrease in population growth as people begin to flee to more rural areas. An increase in homelessness will come about at some point. I don't think the U.S. will see too much open-street violence, though. Although, crime rates will spike. Yes, the national guard will probably be mobilized eventually, but mainly to protect state-owned assets.
