Living in scarcity… as opposed to living in abundance. That has been on my mind lately.

What does life look like when you are living in each one of those view points?

How does it affect your decisions?

Are we afraid to step out in life and do what we love because of a scarcity mindset?

Is a scarcity mindset a product of our frail humanity?

Is this what it means to trust in God? God is abundance? Right?

Trust in Abundance.

In this new year, I have been thinking of these types of things and trying to reorient my life to it.

What are your thoughts?

Scarcity mentality today is largely a product of fiat currency and inflation.

It could be that some are programmed to be that way in order to survive. Perhaps that way of being was/is needed most in hard times.

It's a mindset.

interesting thoughts. i think when you live in scarcity, people are naturally inclined to survive and be safe, a little of a Maslow influence on society. Those who are driven often might do this out of necessity and upward mobility, but they would struggle because of the little opportunity for growth or to fail, and out of it many would be discouraged. When you live in abundance you tend to have more exposure which builds up confidence There’s also more opportunities and more room to fail and try again. But there might be lesser survival drive to hit certain economical goals. This take is rather broad and there exists more nuance to this. The dynamics of these situations may not be a one-size-fits-all and may vary based on individual circumstances, experiences, and societal factors.

Are the scarcity and abundance situations a product of one’s perception or a reality?

"Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your

concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to

show it. I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. I

know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. I am accustomed to

any and every situation—to being filled and being hungry, to having

plenty and having need." Paul the Apostle

Thank you, I will have to ponder that awhile. Paul was a very wise man.
