I edit an Energy podcast and recently there was alot of talk about gas production in Africa. The Global Decarbonisation agenda is putting pressure on an already heavily subsidised gas industry in several Northern ( Egypt, Algeria, Libya ) African countries and now many sub saharan countries ( Mozambique, Tanzania, Mauritania , Senegal) to follow new strict guidelines for export which helps monetise domestic markets. One big issue is flared gas, methane emissions and unabated gas.
