They can turn off any modern ICE car too. OnStar for example has the ability to remotely stop a car. Modern ICE cars are just as full of computers as EVs.

Not that concerns over EVs are not valid - just pointing out having an ICE car does not automatically protect you either. Really the warning should be avoid modern cars. Drive something 10 years old.
