Today I went on a long boat ride with a bunch of people from the #worldschooling hub here in Vietnam 🇻🇳

Because I gave a talk about #bitcoin to the kids recently, a few parents wanted to ask me about it.

Questions were mostly among the typical pre-coiner hesitations. Nothing earth-shattering.

What DID surprise me was how little confusion there was about shitcoins.

They all got it.

Talking about bitcoin as non-hierarchical money profoundly resonated.

Not really; a friend who’s been here for 18 months told me that it’s illegal for commerce to transact in bitcoin here, which would not be a surprise considering this is an explicitly communist country

Yeah, that makes sense. The fact that they’re having the bitcoin conference in Da Nang next month is pretty surprising and quite the bold move all that considered!
