It'd take a few years to grow a parallel organizational law enforcement structure, [a LEGAL one] to effect that roundup.... Meanwhile, the bureau has been weaponized....I would expect them to be aware that they might be in trouble, and take steps to stop it. Hopefully, an intelligent leader of the country would make the wisest use of stealth to create the parallel structure secretly, then use it to ferret out the criminals who've infiltrated the bureau, then disband it, then possibly reacquire legitimate law enforcement elements into the new structure while arresting and imprisoning the subversive elements, among whom it is a well known fact that many are leftists.
