I support the message behind protests but I disagree with its effectiveness. Protesting does seems to me like "asking" politicians ("stop invading Palestine, I disagree with it"), as opposed to take concrete action ("Imma bankrupt you by taking away your control of money so that you can't do shit like this anymore").
Also, protesting is something you do 1/2/5 times a year? I do see it as the "lazy" choice that makes you feel good. Instead moving your time and energy into a parallel system is a everyday grind that takes way more time and energy, this is the hard choice.
We can do both of course, but this is not the best way of our time and energy and makes us scattered instead of united in same approach.
