How many of the men have been harassed by the police? How many of the women have?

There's some ego to it perhaps -- we men sometimes like to think we're protecting some top secret information crucial to the resistance, or at least like to pretend we're secret agents. But on the other extreme I feel like a lot of women get lulled into a complacency because, at least for white middle class women, the likelihood that the state has ever seemed like much of a threat is particularly low, unless they've set out to make themselves a threat to it (love those ladies ;-) ).

I've been stopped enough times by police just for minding my own business walking down the street to not have any regard for their panopticon state. Guess I can't speak for anyone else's rationale.
