Trump had a deal ready to be signed with Zelenskyy, where USA would rebuild Ukraine, protect ukraine, and negotiate an end to the war for Ukraine, in exchange for the rights for US companies to extract natural resources from Ukraine, and keep the profits. Then, for 40 min Zelenskyy kept walking back the deal, asking for more compromises, saying that he wants more of this that and another thing, and trump kept entertaining him saying okay we will see, and suggesting all those things could still be negotiated even tho the deal was pretty much already drawn up.

Then at the end of the meeting, Trump and Vance wanted to shit on the Biden administration for mismanaging world events and having the war start in the first place. They accused Biden of just talking tough and giving money and weapons but not actually solving the problem, but then Zelenskyy wanted to defend Biden’s administration, and then suggested that the last time trump was president he didn’t do anything to stop Russia, who had already taken over Crimea, and give Crimea back to Ukraine. Vance took offense to such things, demanded a simple thank you for trump, which Zelenskyy refused to give, pissing Trump off. Then Zelenskyy started talking back to Trump, cutting him off, and essentially blew up the deal by being disrespectful and suggesting no deal is good enough except for a surrender and withdrawal by Russia, which Trump refers to as playing cards for world war 3.

sometimes small countries lose, that’s the way of the world. Zelenskyy is acting like a chihuahua.
