I really don’t understand why everyone gets hung up on a word rather than how things play out in the real world. “Capitalism” allowed (encouraged?) monopolies to form that then dictated the regulations put in place to keep their hold on the market. These regulations are what industry wants.

We couldn’t have gotten here without encouraging businesses to dominate an industry under the lie of capitalism. Maybe that’s the problem with this conversation.

Capitalism itself is theoretical. Because once someone does succeed, they manipulate to maintain control and eliminate any way for a competitor to come in.

That is what I mean when I say late-stage capitalism.

Show me an example where this doesn’t inevitably happen.
