This is true, but why now and not 5-6 years ago?

I think he either wants them to take over the farms since they're probably a little better at it than the Russians so that it frees up Russians to fight or maybe he hopes they'll feel guilty about Russia taking them in and become patriotic and volunteer to fight.

nostr:npub16gk6ufqerf9q8675fpfdyekc20xd6prz8arvexs7nqy8unwgl6ss0n9ydd said that they aren't eligible to fight but Russia and ukraine have been using foreign volunteers in this way since almost the very beginning.

I hope someone does something to help them out and if Putin takes them in with no strings attached then I'll be happy for them. Putin has done *some* good things, but he's done a lot of bas stuff too, and he hates Nazis, fires people for mildly criticizing jews, and let the jew who owns Wagner Group run a coup on him without punishing him at all (as far as we know anyways - he should have tried him for treason and "did the needful" to him).

I guess we'll all just have to wait and see. I hope I'm wrong about this but I doubt I will be. It just doesn't make sense that he didn't do something sooner to let them come to Russia, send Russian troop or Russian mercenaries to help them out, or try to arm them so they could stay in their homeland.
