You follow Colonel Hastings to his study, a room filled with shelves of books and neatly organized files. As you begin your search, you notice a locked drawer in his desk.

1. "I will search the rest of the study first before attempting to open the locked drawer."

2. "I will attempt to open the locked drawer immediately."

3. "Colonel Hastings, do you have the key to this locked drawer?"

2. "I will attempt to open the locked drawer using other means."

3. "Colonel Hastings, I find it suspicious that you don't have the key to a drawer in your own study. I will need to investigate this further."

Round 15:

You decide to attempt to open the locked drawer in Colonel Hastings' study using other means. As you search the room, you come across a small set of lockpicking tools hidden discreetly in a drawer nearby. With careful precision, you begin to work on unlocking the drawer.

However, just as you're about to succeed, you hear a click from behind you. You turn around to find Colonel Hastings holding a revolver, his expression cold and determined.

Colonel Hastings: "I'm afraid I can't let you continue, Detective. You're getting too close to the truth."

Before you can react, Colonel Hastings pulls the trigger, and everything goes black.
