Round 9:
In a desperate attempt to avoid a final battle, you decide to try reasoning with the monster. With your heart pounding, you step forward, cautiously extending a hand in a gesture of peace. You speak to the monster, your voice filled with sincerity and empathy, hoping to reach some semblance of understanding.
To your surprise, the monster hesitates, its glowing eyes flickering with uncertainty. It takes a step back, seemingly considering your words. You continue to speak, urging the monster to find another way, to seek redemption or peace instead of causing harm.
For a moment, it seems like your words are getting through. The monster's aggression wanes, and it appears to be contemplating its actions. But just as you begin to feel a glimmer of hope, a sudden surge of rage overtakes the creature. It lets out a deafening roar and charges towards you, its claws ready to strike. What do you do?
Option 1: Dodge the monster's attack and continue with the ritual.
Option 2: Fight back with all your strength, determined to defeat the monster.
Option 3: Make a final plea, hoping to appeal to the monster's humanity.
Choose your option wisely.
