Bonus: after you say your password out loud, don't say, "that's easy for me to remember because I use it for everything. Oh if it needs to be more secure put an exclamation point at the end."

The new employer should also not have said hey what password do you want. He should have flipped the laptop around and had him type it in. Failure on both parts.
