Its not solidified but I am leaning in... Feeling slightly intimidated though as a fresh newbie who hasn't been to any even Bitcoin related events, so we'll see if I chicken out or choose the adventure...

I'd rather not spend the money. Travel and meeting people is fine and well but something doesn't sit right with everyone shilling these events and conferences with couple hundred dollar ticket prices in one breath and in the next advocating to take a long time preference and save in hard money. That ticket is a few million sats.

Not meaning to rain on your parade but that thought has been stewing in the back of my mind last little while and your post brought it to the forefront

Tots... I super appreciate you sharing, actually. I am finding myself in new theritory here... Experiencing deep curiousity the last few weeks and feeling pulled to lean in deeper into learning about the Bitcoin community. I am thinking an in person immersion event would get me right smack in the middle of the community and may be potentially eye opening about the essence of the culture, revealing layers I am yet to see and provide deeper answers as to what's the pull I have been feeling here as well as answers as to how perhaps I could contribute and be involved in a more meaningful way... If that seems to be the way forward.

It is also quite a financial stretch for me... airlines, hotels, event Tix etc. I could get that debt and stack the SATs instead too...

Have you been to any local meetups in your area? I admire the jump headfirst into the deep end attitude. If its something you feel would benefit you then go for it. The culture is what you make it, there are some on the left some on the right some build on layer 2 and others create content. Identify your skills and how you can apply them to bitcoin OR identify how bitcoin can help you enhance your talents

Thank you! You are very generosity and kind to share all these insights and suggestions. I am keeping an eye for local events. I am a lil nomadic right now as I am uncertain where I want to settle yet. Actually just came back from Europe and spent $1k on flight which is part of the hesitation to doomcw again. But I've also been getting guidance that it may be part of the lifestyle coming up next for me so it's probably gonna be easier to follow and not resist.

Been identifying a few routes where I can contribute... Definitely marketing and content, networking and Pollinating, possibly specific to the energy realm, but also been hearing about and witnessing this need for coherent cohesive design amongst clients and user experience etc. where applying my talent as a syntesizer could be a great asset.
