The Dresden bombing was absolutely a war crime. Anti-war Germans went to Dresden specifically to avoid the war. That's why Chruchill chose it, because it would be horrific, and he thought that the horror of a massacre of innocent anti-war people would be so horrific that Germany would stop. They didn't, and it seems really dumb to me. Israel retaliates with 20x as many Palestinians dead, and they don't throw up their hands and give up. People don't give up when attacked, people get even more venegeful. It's caused countless blowback from CIA op. When will we learn this simple lesson of human psychology?
