the only way that #nostr doesn't come under a massive and sustained attack on its infrastructure is if it doesn't have any value and doesn't matter

unfortunately it is clear that a lot of people are gonna be surprised about this

i'm sure they will come up with all kinds of conspiracy theories to explain how it isn't because they are expecting security to be paid for with peanuts

as it was that attitude is getting really boring with regard to building infrastructure at all

Getting ahead of yourself a bit there aren't you? There isn't enough content as yet...

Which is why I use other subject related forums.

the only subject i care about is nostr and its community, i'm completely fed up with KYC and bad customer support being given to paid customers and curation that is clearly intentionally inflammatory

the entire rest of the internet is a dumpster fire, i'm a veteran, i've been on forums since 2002 and watched them rise and then fall many times over... social networks are brutal, if they are important, someone wants to shut it down or poison it

not really, if nostr infrastructure providers are already being spammed with serious volumes of garbage then we are on someone's radar, which means nostr is threatening whoever it is and their interests

the actual relay operators probably are not gonna talk about it much either, unless they see no way to remediate it with their available resources

Then they should mention it, I doubt it's state level actors just yet.

And if it is, it still wouldn't warrant big resources expended.

that's right, the targets are completely undefended
