Follow #hockey or whatever else you are interested in, and create posts with those interests including the hashtag. It's that simple.

Yes. The problem with those twitter bros that try Nostr and don't like it because the content revolves around bitcoin is that they don't want to put in the work to create a new community.
They want a place where they don't need to worry about anything, a centralized authority can do that for them, but sorry, that is not Nostr ideology. If you don't like freedom, don't use Nostr.
