I personally like to cut it in half after adding a zero because then you never have a decimal or fraction

For instance 68299 would be 34149.5 if cut in half, but if you add the zero it’s a nice even 682990 which then becomes 341495

I did poorly in advanced algebra and calculus because in elementary school I got really good at math by creating or using all of these “hack” strategies to solve problems and eventually when I had work on more advanced concepts I would miss the fundamentals 🤣

I would always finish my times tables first though 😎

Ohhh that’s litt I get around the decimal n fraction in a different way but if I just add the 0 in the beginning im cutting an extra step, appreciate that!!

& I can only imagine 🤣 idk why they never taught me this!!
