I know I'm not able to actually delete an account but should I delete posts so others don't follow that account?

Why other people shouldn’t follow the other account?if you don’t want them to follow it just deactivate it. 🙂

Go to your profile. There will be a section that you can deactivate it. ☺️

You could change the name of the account as [MOVED], [DEACTIVATED] etc...

I’ve never done this but I’d probably add (old) in the name and then deactivate.

Only some relays accept the deletes so they likely will still show.

It's likely best just to notate you've switched npubs in the last note made as well as in the bio and maybe append something to your username like mentioned by others already.
