Welcome to financial sovereignty 🧑

Umbrel is very user friendly, I have one set up myself. Happy to help out if you get stuck πŸ€™

Agree! Everyone can do it: just follow their step by step guide

You can run umbrel on a Debian VM also. I was playing around got it to run. Great for automated backups which of your hard drive on the pi craps out sucks

Wonder if it’s worth migrating from my pi-based umbrel to just running it in a vm on my Synology πŸ€”

I once tried Bitcoin Core on a Raspberry 3. The initial blockchain download took four weeks. I then switched to an Intel NUC. Very happy now. It has an i7 and 2 TB SSD. I use Proxmox as virtualization layer and operate several VM, one of them with Umbrel. It runs for months without issues, less than 10 W power consumption.

One just for btc and lighting apps and the other for other misc apps. I like to keep anything not btc related off it to be safe
