Oh that’s the native one, too 🤩

Cool! It was here when we moved in, so I wasn’t too sure.

Yeah the native one has that very compact flower cluster. The Japanese one is long and pendulous.

I believe the native has a longer leaf / more leaflets, too, but it’s tougher to tell that way.

This was last week. Looking like little purple pinecones. 😆
