A lot of arguments. Everything you can do as a technical person have to be approved by the IT lackeys who have kept the infrastructure running.

I was an estimator for a small contracting outfit. I was told, "You can't use Open Office because it's not approved." I fired myself. I had built a way to extract data from doing take offs with a digital plotter. The owner is the one who told me his IT guy didn't like my use of open source software. Months of work destroyed. I told him that I didn't need the job so bad that I had to use rudimentary tools.

So be it.
