I was surprised that in Seattle many establishments don't accept digital wallet payments. Apparently because of fraud. "Nearly a quarter of merchants say that Google Wallet and Apple Pay are top vehicles for fraudsters using stolen credit card details."

They marketed it as a more secure way to make payments as you dont share your card number with the seller when you go through GPay/ApplePay, other than also being very convenient.
