Good morning. Seems that I missed some neat and new DMer/TG type of app Session. It looks neat, embraces everything that Nostr is trying to be, and it works (from my very limited experience) 🤯🤯🤯

That's funny 'cause I personally learnt of Session more than a year ago but just recently found out about nostr.
It happens for sure, but yeah 🤣
Used session when they first started (they were based in Australia). They also created the Loki network. But, sadly, they have gone full shitcoinery and moved from PoW shitcoin to Ethereum token, and rugged all of their node operators. Their excuse for why they required ~$15,000 cost to start a node was “Sybil resistance”, but that just kept average people out and nation states with endless resources could easily create nodes to monitor.
Session is solid. Very popular in some European countries.

Speaking of dubious "secure" messengers there's Keet, which is closed-source and built by Bitfinex and Tether, who certainly has a very sketchy past. For example, they claimed for very long time to have 1:1 backing by USD, but we all know that was a fat lie.
Oh, and then there was that time when Bitfinex lost more than 100k BTC. Good times!!
So yeah, probably don't use that one, either. Not implying that you would, but still.
