This is super interesting because I've seen it in real life. I had to work 36 hours per week when I came into Bitcoin. I now work 24 and my lifestyle hasn't really changed much. I could keep doing 36 and putting it into Bitcoin, but I surpassed my goals and chose to spend time elsewhere. It's quite beautiful. That 12 hours went toward keeping my retirement from melting to zero. I had to keep adding to it just to keep the value about the same over time. Fuck that.

Same with me. I've only been able to work part time for 11 years and my life gets easier.

I have friends stuck on the hamster wheel making more and more, but can't get ahead. It kind of bums me out sometimes.

Some of my coworkers make 3 or 4X as much as me and I'm starting to see the envy on their face. Rising prices are pissing people off, but not enough to try a new syatem.

I think we are seeing the same thing, and I've thought about it a lot lately.

I think the problem is that most people live in such a thick fog of hopelessness that they can't see the simple solutions in front of them. I suspect that's a recipe of equal parts malice and incompetence.
