CC can do the signing and works with nunchuck, IIRC.

The whole wallet thing has been a bane to BTC, IMO.

Bane? In what way? I understand it being an inaccurate term but idk about a bane. It helped make BTC approachable enough for a slowbro like me to get started

It's functionally and contextually incorrect. It confuses and conflates. It is not good to use it to tell people about BTC. IMO. It's caused me months of anguish trying to figure it WTF is going on.

TBH, I think that may be more of a personal thing. Without a doubt I'm sure plenty feel just like you. I, however, need to get my hands dirty and make mistakes. If it wasn't for a BTC wallet appearing to be approachable I may not have stayed interested long enough to learn about keys, signing, &c. I'm sorry it caused you so much anguish though

Bwahahahaha! No anguish from you. I stress over stupid stuff because I'm a pedantic idiot. I'm glad you found it useful, I just haven't and won't be using it henceforth.

Oh no lol I don't take personal responsibility lol just saying that it sucks you had to go through that.

So do you just describe a wallet as a key management system for signing blockchain transactions?

Also, I think things like Nostr can help bridge the information/jargon gap. I asked a stupid question the other day about zap.store and it helped me understand the obvious about keys. Playing with Nostr and Amber can help solidify these concepts so that things like BTC can be understood more as they actually are
