🏗️ Today is a big day: we’ve started producing the elements that will soon be used to build 19 family houses in the Sóstó project in Nyíregyháza.
This week we are only manufacturing sample elements, because while reviewing the plans we identified several points where we could further optimize. Some might call this “cutting costs” — using less steel or material — but in reality, it’s about proper engineering.
👷♂️ At the Budapest University of Technology and Economics I learned one of the most valuable lessons: use material only where it is truly necessary, and only in the amount required. Structural engineering always works with safety factors — which means that what we calculate as “just sufficient” on paper will in reality withstand 50–100% more load. This guarantees safety.
After 20 years in the industry, I still see that many add even more steel on top of these built-in safety margins, completely unnecessarily. But our goal is not to rush into building something quickly on a trendy low-interest loan and then move on after a few hundred houses.
🎯 Our mission is long-term: to provide a technology that delivers future-proof, safe, and affordable housing. That’s why we prefer to wait for the right components to arrive and only then start full-scale production.
Next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the first production elements will be ready, and from then on we’ll manufacture two elements per day. We’ll begin with a sloped-roof element built on an H-shaped box frame — and of course I’ll share the process with you.
