As of 26 Mar 2024, Telegram has surpassed one billion downloads in 2022, with 420 million downloads that year alone. Telegram has a large number of users in countries with heavy censorship and surveillance, such as Iran, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

Yes of course, this is a concern.
It's also a Toncoin and USDt Wallet so there is that.
But a "Wallet" to keep it simple will always be a Wallet, with minimum funds for spending which can be stolen, like your real leather wallet aswell.
They should provide some self custody education aswell I totally agree
Yup, totally agree, education on the discernment between custodial and non-custodial is vital, and should be one of the first things taught, so that people don’t have their coins stolen
