I finally finished our new stairs up to our house deck. It's the third of three bigger mortar stonewalling projects I did in the olive grove over the past two years with pure fieldstones from the area ... and I actually love it! Working and puzzling with focus, seeing quite permanent beautiful things grow out of nowhere - sweet!

Ask my father if he thought stonewalling would once be the secret passion of his 'intellectual' teenage son 😂
