Yes, they are. As a teenager, I used to have a pet bull that we saved from the slaughter as a calf. Kiana was one big puppy. He would follow me everywhere. I used to lie down next to him, giving him pats, even when he grew to be 2,000+ pounds with massive horns and could have crushed me just by rolling over.

I love that name. Once as a kid a got licked on the arm by a cow that hadn’t finished chewing its cud. Green goo all up my arm and shoulder. It was gross but I wasn’t mad just very surprised
Just like puppy licks, you gotta love it. When Moxie grooms me or gives me kisses, it's like sandpaper on skin, but I won't recoil. I accept the loving gesture with gratitude.
