Cashu sat used as a note stamp is a universal solution that all Nostr applications can utilize.
It can also be used for public notes, not just limited to private notes.

Because maintaining a relay comes with expenses, it’s impossible to keep it free in the long run.
I guess here you mean paying per requests, right?
Maybe for microblogging, it’s more appropriate for readers to cover a small sats fee to the relay instead of the writers.
