Mostly true. S Korea is on Kakao, China is on WeChat, I don't know about Russia because I haven't been there (guessing telegram), but where Whatsapp is dominant, it's really truly dominant (South America, most of Europe, Middle East and Africa). As in, nobody has anything else.
