After sharing funny Peppa pig picture with Saylor yesterday, I'm watching this talk by Saylor and it's really good.

I think most of the things Saylor says are true, the only problem is that there are many important parts that are both true and important that he does not say.

They relate to cypherpunk, liberty and parallel economy, where the situation is more difficult and the simple "there's no second best" narrative breaks apart.

The "Bitcoin fixes this" meme does not work until we don't have a Schelling point. I hope Bitcoin becomes it and then it might fix many things, but until then we have to do it ourselves. We might use Bitcoin on the way, but Bitcoin by itself does not fix things. It's a virtual thing, it needs an actor, with a will to use it as a tool to fix something.

So listen to Michael Saylor. He's smart, tells you things you probably need to hear, but then, don't go into "I'm going to be super rich soon" mode, but think further. Bitcoin brings an experience with long term thinking. Use it.

This is the most reasonable opinion about Saylor I've ever heard.

Also it's interesting to know that Saylor is optimizing for the size of audience. He wants to get as many people on board as possible and adding these important but difficult topics makes his audience smaller.

The strategy has some merit but I personally wouldn't choose it.
