This is what you said to everyone who called BS on this post. Perhaps I'm not the one failing to think critically about what I read.
no, I said it to one person who then re-read it and conceded he had gotten it totally wrong
I reread it. You said CORE reason. I couldn't care less about it and as far as people I know only his supporters are interested in the status displays involved.
My core reason for disliking him can be found in the book "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder. It is short and has pictures though you may still get lost since you can't follow the opening paragraph of something you just wrote.
Oh, my bad, I misread *your* comment. There are many reasons people dislike Trump, it’s true, some of them valid. But IMO the *core* reason for *most* is that they think they’re better than MAGA because they have been sold that bill of goods.
But your mileage may vary.
We could argue all day about what is in the mind of others and never know.
My position that this is the stupidest and most shallow possible reason to dislike him stands no matter who is right about how common it is the reason.
