If you can, make your way to the isolated beach past the beach club (north end) during low tides. Wear shoes for the rock-hop. It’s cool down there.

We love to explore hidden tide pools.
There’s also a cave accessible to the south end of Monarch Bay. You get to it through Dana Point. Lots of tide pools.
