Recently had to fly on a plane.

While queued for privacy invasion by government drones, I saw they have some new machine for digitally scanning IDs and taking facial photos. While everyone in front of me had their head scanned, I opted for traditional manual review. You know, where you hand over your ID to a person, they read it, and compare the photo to how you look. This was somehow confusing at first but the NPC figured it out and did a thorough check for about 8 seconds to ensure I had the right face for the ID I handed over.

Moved on to the next phase. This airport required removing shoes and belts and putting in bins with personal items. Of course i opted out of walking through the scanning machine and they gave me the option of a public or private groping. Thats nice as anytime Ive gone through Canada they insist on doing in a small private room. In the interim I noted that elderly are sent directly through the old metal detector without any groping.

With the public display of rub down complete I got my things and nothing seemed to be missing and was able to get to the plane. The trip had a short layover. First flight went well, except for an abrupt/harsh landing to brake for short runway. Second had no issues and relatively smooth.
