the dinosaur extinction story is starting to get less and less likely to be correct

https://www.ucl.ac.uk/news/2024/dec/massive-asteroid-impacts-did-not-change-earths-climate-long-term

sooner or later they are going to have to revise the story and acknowledge that megafauna existed merely a bit over 12000 years ago and then it was flooded because of a sudden massive rotation caused by a pole shift

IDK in isolated environments like Australia we are mostly able to track the presence of great mammals and gigantic animals like the ones in moster hunter, and they always estinct casually some years after we show up with our intelligence, fire-technology, viruses...

carbon dating doesn't work and dust getting compacted into rocks only takes weeks to start and seals everything inside it up, usually meaning the bones are permanently preserved

this is what happens when the earth suddenly rotates 90 degrees, all the oceans go the opposite direction for a while and then run back down to the low areas again... in the process they wash away all the dirt and dust that built up in normal times from the weathering of rock

"sedimentary rock" is literally mud that has piled thick enough to squash all the water out of it

it seems reasonable. In general, what I always criticizes about the recostructions of the past is to not consider the "long tails high-entropy events"... what we can have abserved in our history of earthquakes, for example, is just so little. We absolutely need to consider that is happened (and will happen) at some point earthquakes of totally out-of-range magnitudes with gigantic effects.

At school they said me that the continents separated with little movement perpetuated for looong time... I cant prove the opposite, but it seems a bullshit to me. They seems to have been fooled by human the human bias of "inductive projecting expecting symmetry"

one of the key parts of why the mainstream paleontology has got it so wrong is because of the fraud of "fossil fuels" that was concocted by the oil oligarchy to create a climate of fear about limited supply

the only thing that keeps the price from falling dramatically is OPEC colluding to limit production, it's literally a price fixing cartel but nothing to see here, move along

the Maaori did that to the cassowaries and several other large birds but new zealand was isolated for a long time, those birds were the apex predators of the land before people found it
