💣 War is a uniquely fiat racket.

In the gold standard era, wars ended when treasuries ran dry. The cost was transparent—citizens saw new war taxes and revolted when the pain was too high.

But with fiat, governments unlocked the ability to wage forever wars. Central banks print, debt is monetized, and the real bill is hidden in inflation. The racket thrives because the many pay invisibly, while the few insiders—bankers, defense contractors, politicians—profit massively.

Only fiat enables globalized, perpetual conflict. Hard money like Bitcoin breaks the cycle, because you can’t inflate a war. You’d have to ask people to pay directly. And they won’t.
