I wonder if there is anyone in Canada trying to work on getting the Canadian system to allow holding BTC in the RRSP and TFSA accounts, similar to what the US has done with their IRA accounts

I am not sure if anyone is actively trying to get Canadians to hold the asset in those accounts, but the best you can do at this stage is hold on to one of the ETFs.

Yah lucky we at least have those, but would be much better to be able to actually self custody Bitcoin in those accounts, safer, and you don't have etf management costs
