It took me way too long in life to realize that the people around me with all of the nice stuff didn't have more money they just had more debt. I would always ask myself, "How can they afford all of these nice things?" They couldn't. It was all debt.
Absolutely, and so many folks fall into the trap of keeping up with Joneses.
