It's not communication skill issue, my life is a bore to talk about in dinner table for most people unless they are into the same hobbies as me and I'm not into anything normies loves like gossip or soccer. So it's annoying if relatives start asking about it because I know answering is stepping into a land mine for either weird silence or lecturing, I prefer to pick the "remain distant and stranger" option.
