Yes. I moved some of my buffer/savings from a FIAT bank account into monero.

It will now turn into a store of value and a medium of exchange. As the FIAT account was before.

This saving will continue to grow. It will cause some level of deflation (you get more for your xmr over time, which may lead to less rapid spending).

But, the big question I continue to ask my self. Will it lead me to spend or buy less (incl. in XMR) than I do now?

I tend to fear volatility more than steady appreciation. If the "speculation" is brought about by wide community rather than a few whales, the volatility might be keept from the door steps.

Monero has the advantage of being a pretty darn good medium of exchange, in comparison to gold, stocks and other crypto coins. So, it will side by side with FIAT continue to be one of the favored exchange mediums, no matter the underlying price. It's my personal take.

But, I agree 100% that a wider adoption is way more healthy and important than speculation by the few.
